About Her
Zeoane Goh 吴昀玲 She was previously known as Joan or 佩玲.
She is a dreamer, someone who attempts to live life to the fullest, she tries to fulfill her dreams, and sometimes she succeeds in that. Also, she makes it a point to spend some time with people she cherish. She gets a bit bitchy at times and irritatingly annoying with her buddies or people who love her, just her little ways of spicing up their relationships with her nonsense.
She is happily married to Simon Tan who happens to have the courage to accept this challenge in tolerating all the nonsense she has. Most importantly to her, he’s the wind beneath her wings for her to fly even higher up the sky and across the ocean like a seagull.
She is a kinda serious Buddhist where she has affinity with Buddha despite spending 10 years in a Christian school. She respects all religions and people’s beliefs in theirs. She believes all paths lead to Rome, whichever religion you choose for yourself is just a “vehicle” for you to get to your destination.
What does she do?
Currently, she is a Life Planner with Great Eastern.
She is effectively bilingual as a free-lanced Actress, Emcee and Voice Talent.
Why she bother to do what she does?
She loves freedom and second the idea of taking charge of her life, her style. When she wakes up every morning, she is doing what she does happily, knowing she makes a difference in someone’s life. When her client is in need, she can deliver a substantial amount of money to them which is more practical approach than just say “I’m so sorry to hear that.” The Chinese has an idiom that describes this aptly 雪中送碳.
She’s pretty good in providing emotional support to people which unfortunately she was trained by her dad when he was very sick and eventually passed away, she was one of his caregivers. At some point in her life, she enrolled herself to a coaching course to better her skills to service people in need. This career seems to suggest to her that it aligns with her values she cherish in her life on “Love and Responsibility”.
As for acting, singing and hosting abilities, it has been her childhood dreams where we often wrote as our ambitions. At every crossroads of her life, she joined one of the toughest sports in her school days which were Netball and Dragonboat. Never did she dare to join Chinese society or English Drama club even though her friends have been telling her she has been very expressive and entertaining. Sometimes funny. Many years passed, she decided it was time to pursue acting and hosting, else she might just regret during her last moments. Life with regrets? No way! That was how she chanced upon Zoom! Academy for her training as an actress and emcee in 2010.
Her journey in the Entertainment industry began since then…
Where & What did she study previously?
She was never really a fantastic student with straight As type of person. However, she led a really vibrant school life with her heavy involvement in sports and community service as Dragonboat captain, Netball vice-captain and etc. She’s a people’s person and somehow she has that magic to cause people to work together towards a common good cause and have some fun doing that.
Phew! And she miraculously graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science (Information Systems) and double majored in Marketing at Singapore Management University (2008).
She studied in Nanyang Junior College where she discovered her writing and singing abilities. After her father’s death, she was inspired to write a series of short stories to describe her after-thoughts, entitled “雨季的随想” which can be found here. She received the first prize in her Intra-college for this piece of winning entry. She joined her school “Talentime Competition” with her buddies and they won the first prize in the Group category.
She was from girls’ school namely, Paya Lebar Methodist Secondary Girls’ School and Paya Lebar Methodist Primary Girls’ School where she spent a helleva time with her crazy girlfriends from Netball and classmates.

2) Build a School based on unconventional curriculum
3) Build a Temple to promote Dharma Education
人因梦想而伟大。That’s why I said I’m a dreamer but I shall plant these seeds nevertheless. Who knows I might really succeed eventually, somehow or rather. That could jolly well be my retirement job huh! Never know. Let time tell…
Anyway, if I could ever do all three or anyone above mentioned, I would say this life is really worth living and worth dying for.
What she wishes for you and mankind?
JOY, LOVE, GREAT HEALTH & ABUNDANCE!
HUAT AH!
Make someone happier today!
