Hi all,
When I read the papers on 3 May, the huge sage over AWARE (SG) have caught my attention – public’s reaction and stand on this. I always thought that Singaporeans are apathetic when it comes to such affairs in society. But people especially women no longer tolerate this but decided to stand up and speak out. It made me realized especially when I pretty much belong to the apathetic group, to see that how a constitution which made up of similar bacgrounds (same church and beliefs), the constitution could no longer be secular, what sort of impact and influence it could have on society over time? And that is dangerous when we could be run by religious beliefs and values to fulfill their personal agenda. And society could possibly be manipulated that way. This can’t possibly work in a multi-religious and multi-racial society.
If you have absolutely no idea what is going on, find out from here:

Perhaps the younger generation of women in Singapore have taken our rights and privileges for granted and thought we are all entitled to what we deserved all these years, we have probably forgotten those women back then who stood for us so that we can enjoy such privileges and rights right now. And AWARE stands for that. Women have came a long way, look at their roles, responsibilities and positions they stand in society today which could be on par or even surpass men.
Good that this event happened, if not for Josie’s team, we wouldn’t possibly wake up from our apathetic world. This saga somehow allow the voices of women and men to be heard, women to stand up and speak out on what this organization originally stands for women.
Trust, Respect, Choice.
With Josie’s team spending $90K during their 5 weeks in office, let’s recoup some of them by showing your support to get the infamous quotes printed on t-shirts (male and female t-shirts available).
Vicki, the Bionic woman has collaborated with Dionis, Printeet founder, to launch the t-shirt series. 70% of the profits would go to AWARE as part of contribution.
