Hey all,
Managed to go for my runs last Saturday and this morning. Ran 4km at 28.18mins last Saturday and 4.23km at 33.38mins. Gotta train up more to get my body used to such intensity. After my first run, my body protested and demanded for rest the next day. Muscleaches!!! OMG!

Been a good sign lately to wake up at 630am almost every day. It would be good if I can begin my runs at 630am so that I have more time free up in the morning to do my readings or something to enrich my mind.

It is going to be a short week this week cos my company is giving us off on Friday to celebrate Vesak day. Whoopie!!!

Looking forward to my 4 more days of work before I go for a short break.

Probably I can exercise more and read more! haha. Just love to stay at home and do the things I want. Sometimes, living like a hermit is quite nice. haha. “Lonely…I am so lonely..” I’m pretty good at entertaining myself. haha.

Till then,

It has been going well, waking up on time to do my exercises every day since my new habit started. Amazingly, I woke up automatically without the alarm clock at 620am. Very good cos I usually can’t even hear my alarm clock. That’s how deep and unconscious I am when I sleep.

It gonna be a weekend of exercises with myself and loved ones. Going for body balance in an hour’s time and doing my run this evening. Haven’t been running for a long time. Wish me luck. haha. And I would do yoga and body balance on Sunday.

Share with you my weekly exercise plan tomorrow. Really wanna sustain it and keep it going. Cos I am seeing and experiencing the benefits of it. People have feedbacked that I look more refreshed nowadays.

Gotta run!

Till then,

New Habit 1: Success on Day 3

Hey everyone,

I have just embarked on a new habit, that is to sleep early (1130pm) and wake up early to do exercise at 7am! It has been successful for the past 3 days. What I noticed is that, it somehow makes you happier and lighter at the start of the day. Pretty good start.

Do I feel tired? Surprisingly no. This made me more alert and focus I would say. It got me a few days before I can started on this, after being inspired from reading  the book “The monk who sold his ferrari”. Great book! The principles in leading a fulfilling life is worth considering to test/modify and apply back into your life. So how do I move past the procrastination stage? Tell you more later.  Who don’t procrastinate these days, each of us procrastinate at some degree, right?

Oh well, I practised the tips that were given which you can consider when you want to embark on something new.

Step 1:

Have a clear mental image of the outcome.

Since my goal is to lose some weight and become healthier, I envisioned myself on being lean and fit every night before I sleep. Give a clearer picture, it works better. I chanted words like “I’m lean, fit and healthy!” Play along with your unconscious or sub-conscious part of you to make you work for you! hehe!

Step 2:

Create positive pressure on yourself to keep you inspired.

Announce to the whole world out there that you are on your way to lose your weight, share with them your goal. Yea, I created beautychubbs.com to better my health. Oh yea, it is as good as making a public pledge to work on your health. And you so want to reach your goal. But do remember to enjoy your journey, else you’ll miss the point!

Step 3:

Attach a timeline to your goal you set.

Sound so confronting, isn’t it? Tell me about it! haha. I totally get you. But well, talk is cheap you know. Get down to some action and move your ass! Sometimes we just have to be more firm with ourselves, else we would just stay where we are to stay chubby as always. heh. Yeap, I’m already on a 90 days experiment (graduate on 5 Jun) with myself to test this out. Strangley, when you set your heart to do certain things, events would happen to  move you closer to your goal. For instance, I am taking part in the army half marathon in Singapore, August. Alright, I just told you and I can’t back out. And start training for that!!!

Step 4:

Go get a notebook to pen down your goals, dreams, objectives.

Call it your dream book or whatever name that serves you.

Create goals for yourself in the many aspects of your life like family, love, financial and so on. It would be best if you can attach images to it to illustrate what you want. Picture speaks a thousand words. I’ve tried it and placed my orders on my love life, career and so on, it works. When you do it, you can’t do it out of desperation I noticed. This means that the intention is off, there’s a gap within you and you are trying to fill that up. It just don’t work that way. When you are whole and complete, set an intention and let things fall into place. And you…just wait and see and take action for whatever opportunities that come your way. Seize them! Amazing stuff!

Step 5:

The magic rule of 21 – do it consecutively for 21 days!

Can you imagine how many years our bad habits have been with us to keep us in the shape we are now or the health status we are in right now?

By concentrating all our energies and doing it for 21 days would help to install the new habit into our lives permanently. For this, I’m still in the beta stage. Share with you more when I complete my 21 days.

Love the following paragraph from the chapter.

” There is a purpose for everything that happened to you, and everything that will happen to you. Every experience offers lessons. So stop majoring in minor things. Enjoy your life.”

Awesome!
